Wished my Mom was around to lunch @ Sally Lunn's with me...she would have loved the mismatched cups & chairs & adorable Teapots that serve delicious variety of Teas. Not to mention that it feels like you're lunching in an Antique Shop! The food is good; Shepard pie, scones & other favorites usually featured in a glass enclosed case you can point to what you'd like. Their pies are yummy as well. Really a sweet place for Ladies who Lunch...although I have seen a few Men there. Friendly, professional staff, too!
It was difficult to decide which pie or bakery item to order, everything looked and smelled so fresh! I finally decided on the Blueberry pie and it was so good, I can't even describe it! The very best! I can't wait to go back and try some tea and the other delicacies! Beautiful decor! Bring someone special here to impress and have a really nice time!
Fun place to have lunch or tea. Scones are good. Tea is excellent. Dessert was also great. Average price per meal is about $15-20.
Great food but I couldn't believe how slow the service was even though there were a number of waitresses and few customers.
This place does not, unfortunately, have the traditional Sally Lunn tea cakes from the original shop in Bath, England, but their tarts and scones are very tasty. They are served with jam and thick cream, and a total delight. Whenever we are in the area, we take away and savor every mouthful for a couple of days after. They also have traditional English candies for those who love a taste of England. We also get the crumpets and whatever specials they have that day. The chocolate chip scones were outstanding. Yum!
